ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – An active 62-year-old Rockford man’s life took a turn when he received the news that he needed heart surgery.
But what he didn’t know was that his procedure was going to be a first for the Rockford area.
Reggie Hereford is a retired Chrysler plant worker. He enjoyed an active life for decades until health issues emerged.
“One day my heart started beating fast and my breathing would change. A t the time I didn’t really think too much of it,” explained Reggie. “They thought maybe it was anxiety. Once they prescribed me some medication for that, things changed, and my wife didn’t think it was anxiety.”…
