ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — NIC-10 champion Guilford was a heavy favorite going into its regional semifinal game in Class 4A at Guilford Wednesday night. The Vikings played like it. They won big 60-30. The Vikings were able to clear their bench with more than five minutes remaining in the game. Five Guilford players scored eight or more points. Branden Chatman scored 13 points. He also became Guilford’s all-time scoring leader passing the mark of 1,449 points that was set in 1974 by Chris Loy.Cordell Spencer scored 12 points for Guilford. Guilford’s record improves to 23-7.
