BELVIDERE, Ill. (WIFR) – A Freeport woman and a Rockford man were arrested on Friday after police say they found more than two and a half pounds of cannabis during a traffic stop.
Renee L. Morales, 59, was arrested and charged with a felony count of unlawful possession of cannabis for allegedly possessing 500-2000 grams of a substance containing cannabis.
Michael T. Jones, 55, was arrested and charged with a felony count of unlawful possession of cannabis for allegedly possessing 500-2000 grams of a substance containing cannabis.
Just before 8 p.m., Feb. 27, officers pulled over a vehicle on Bypass Route 20 near Townhall Road in Belvidere.
Reports say an investigation led to recovering about 1100 grams of cannabis from inside the car.
Morales and Jones were placed under arrested and taken to the Boone County Jail. Reports say they are being held with no bond…
