ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Two children were able to escape a house fire on Loomis Street on Saturday afternoon, fire officials reported.
According to the Rockford Fire Department, firefighters were called to the 1800 block of Loomis around 4:18 p.m. and found smoke coming from the front door of the house.
Two juveniles were home at the time of the fire, but were able to get out. Authorities said the fire was brought under control within 9 minutes…
