Chipotle Mexican Grill opened its second Rockford location on March 4.
The new restaurant, located at 5521 E. State St., features a Chipotlane, a drive-thru pick-up lane that allows customers to pick up digital orders without leaving their cars, according to a community announcement.
Restaurant hours and menu offerings
The restaurant will be open from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
Customers will have the opportunity to try Chicken al Pastor, a limited-time protein offering. Additionally, Chipotle has introduced a high protein menu, with items ranging from 15 to 81 grams of protein per item. The menu includes entrees like the Double High Protein Bowl and High Protein-High Fiber Bowl, snacks such as the new High Protein Cup, and a Single Chicken Taco starting at $3.50.
Chipotle U Rewards for college students
Chipotle is also launching Chipotle U Rewards, a program for college students. Students will receive 1,000 bonus points upon enrolling and will earn 20% more points on every purchase. Enrollment is now open at chipotle.com/chipotle-u-rewards.
New dining option for families
The restaurant is offering a Build-Your-Own Chipotle option, allowing customers to bring the customizable Chipotle experience to their homes. The offering serves four to six people, and customers can enjoy $10 off their first Build-Your-Own Chipotle order with the code TRYBYOC.
