Winnebago County awards $1.6 million to support mental health services

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — The Winnebago County Mental Health Board awarded over $1.6 million in funding to nine community-based organizations working to support mental health services.

The Tommy Corral Memorial Foundation, one of the selected organizations, received $200,000. The nonprofit began after the founder lost her son to suicide and has since supported those with mental health issues.
