New business collective opens in Belvidere

BELVIDERE, Ill. (WIFR) – A special grand opening ribbon ceremony officially welcomed the 815 Artisan Collective to Belvidere at 11 a.m. Friday, with the Belvidere Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Clinton Morris and State Representative Dave Vella in attendance.

The collective’s goal is to introduce people to the offerings of businesses all around the local area, partnering with 25 different vendors to offer a variety of products.

The idea for the business sparked just a few short months ago, when Shelly Outlaw, who owns the business along with her husband David, moved to the area from Wisconsin, and discovered there wasn’t a real hub for local vendors to truly showcase their creations.
