Demolition work is scheduled to begin on March 13, weather permitting, at 17 and 19 W. Main Street, according to a community announcement.
The City of Freeport has secured a nearly $1.7 million Brownfield grant for demolishing 17 and 19 W. Main Street in 2025. The site, previously a sanitary cleaners business, has confirmed contamination.
