LOVES PARK — A new business on North Second Street offers a mix of handmade items from local crafters along with antiques and vintage goods.
Storage Chics ‘n’ Unique Gifts celebrated its ribbon-cutting on Wednesday with the Parks Chamber of Commerce. The shop is at 6412 N. Second St., just north of the North Suburban Library in a building shared with A.W. Anderson Agency that stands out for its blue roof.
Owner Joan Zimmerman creates her own candles, custom wreaths and centerpieces, which she has sold at vendor markets such as Cider N’ Cinnamon for years. She’s brought in nine other local vendors who offer an array of quality handmade goods. She also purchases storage units that are up for auction to comb through the contents for antiques and one-of-a-kind gifts…
