Creston woman sentenced in deadly drug-related motorcycle crash

OGLE COUNTY, Ill. (WIFR) – A Creston woman is sentenced to spend five years in prison for her role in a deadly motorcycle crash in 2022.

Amy Anthenat, 50, pleaded guilty in October to aggravated driving with a drug, substance or compound in breath, blood bodily substance or urine resulting in great bodily harm.

On June 19, 2022, Anthenat was behind the wheel of a pick-up truck when she collided with a motorcycle at Illinois Route 64 and Mulford Road in Ogle County. Investigators found Anthenat had cocaine in her system at the time of the crash.

The driver of the motorcycle, 61-year-old Richard Andrews of Addison, died from his injuries. Anthenat was not hurt in the collision…
