ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the passing of Corrections Officer William Atwood, who died while off duty on Sunday.
The sheriff’s office said Atwood’s passing was due to medical issues. He was 53.
