15-year-old Carter Nilson has big dreams. He has since he was three years old, driving go-karts. Now he’s one step closer to his dream NASCAR driver as he gets ready to compete in his third season in the Madison International Speedway Series, which is scheduled to begin on March 28.
Nilson has been racing since age 3, when he first began driving go-karts. In 2023, he became the youngest late model racer to compete at the Rockford Speedway. He has spent the winter training for his return to the track following his last race in August.
“It feels like forever away, you know? But I think it’s definitely because now I know I can hang with them and I can finish up front and potentially get a win,” Nilson said. “It’s just like it’s like it could it couldn’t come any closer.”…
