No injuries reported after bus fire in Beloit

BELOIT, Wis. — No injuries were reported after a bus fire in Beloit Monday morning.

The city said the fire appeared to have started in the rear well area just after 6:30 a.m. at the Beloit Transit Transfer Center, 225 Shirland Ave. As a result of the fire, transit was delayed until a replacement bus could be added into service.

Additionally, the city reported a driver was leaving the transfer center when they heard a pop sound from the rear of the bus. They pulled over, exited the bus with one passenger and discovered the fire…
