Chicago, Ill. – Strong wind gusts could quickly create hazardous travel conditions across the Illinois-Indiana border region, especially along major highways and near Lake Michigan heading into early April.

According to the National Weather Service Climate Prediction Center, the 8-to-14 day outlook from Friday, March 27 through Thursday, April 2 shows near-normal temperatures and precipitation across northern Illinois and northwest Indiana, paired with an increased likelihood of strong wind events.
