Rockford Police arrest two men after loaded handgun found during traffic stop

ROCKFORD, Ill (WTVO) — Rockford Police arrested two men after a loaded handgun with no serial number was found during an attempted traffic stop.

According to police, on Monday, March 23, around 7:06 p.m., officers attempted to pull over a vehicle near the intersection of Winnebago and Witman Streets , but the driver didn’t stop. When the vehicle came to a stop, four people inside ran out, said officials.

Officers later identified two individuals: Corry Jefferson, 18, and Jayden Seaton, 20, who were taken into custody and face multiple charges, including aggravated fleeing and possession of a firearm with no serial number…
