11th Street Construction Triggers Rolling Closures
Ongoing infrastructure work across the city of Rockford is creating shifting traffic patterns, specifically along the heavily traveled 11th Street corridor.
According to the press release, crews continue water service replacements between Broadway and 18th Avenue, keeping the stretch closed to traffic.
City officials did confirm that once this phase wraps up, 11th Street will reopen up to 18th Street, only for closures to move north. The next phase will shut down the segment from 18th Street to Columbia Street for pavement removal and underground utility upgrades…
