ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Plans for a new multi-use bike path along Highcrest Road are moving closer to construction, as city leaders work to finalize designs and secure approvals for the project.
The proposed Highcrest Connection would create a path for cyclists and pedestrians, connecting routes across the city while addressing safety concerns along the busy roadway.
The bike path would run from Spring Creek Road all the way to North Alpine Road.
