Rockford Police are increasing seat belt enforcement during the Memorial Day holiday travel period as part of the statewide Click It or Ticket campaign.

Rockford PD will team up with Illinois law enforcement agencies for the 2026 “Click It or Ticket” campaign, a statewide traffic safety initiative running May 15 through May 26 during the busy Memorial Day travel period.

Police say officers will conduct high-visibility patrols during both daytime and overnight hours, specifically targeting seat belt violations. Drivers and passengers who are not properly restrained can expect to be stopped and ticketed as part of the enforcement effort.
