Rockford’s Best Summer Festivals
When I started in radio in 2001, many of my summer weekends were spent in downtown Rockford watching concerts in Davis Park.
My favorite events to go to every year were On The Waterfront and Stars & Guitars, and I was super bummed when both of them went away. Those events weren’t just concerts; they were summer traditions, and Rockford has been blessed to have so many incredible artists grace the stage in Davis Park.
Downtown Rockford always felt so alive during those two festivals, and it’s been far too long since we’ve been able to enjoy live music along the river in Davis Park. Thankfully, Davis Park’s concert-free days will finally be coming to an end this summer!
