STEPHENSON COUNTY, Ill. (WIFR) – K9 Zafra, with Stephenson County Sheriff’s Office, has received a gift she’s been anticipating for more than two months.
Thanks to a donation from a non-profit organization called Vested Interest in K9s, K9 Zafra is now a proud owner of a bullet and stab protective vest.
The life-saving body armor was custom fitted for the four-legged law enforcement officer.
The vest was sponsored by Carly Wolnitzek, of the Wolnitzek Family Foundation, and embroidered to say “Gifted by the Wolnitzek Family Foundation”…
