The Friends of the Pecatonica River Foundation is inviting residents to join its efforts to improve the 58-mile stretch of the Pecatonica River.
The group is hosting a meeting at 6 p.m. May 14 at the Freeport Public Library, according to a community announcement. The meeting will be held in the second-floor board room at 100 E. Douglas St. in Freeport.
The foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on enhancing the Pecatonica River experience through access, education, wildlife habitat, log jam removal and river clean-up efforts.
