The Freeport Art Museum and the Stephenson County Historical Society are hosting a lecture on the people who have shaped Freeport, according to a community announcement.
The event, titled “Built Together: Stories of the Leaders & Laborers Who Shaped Our Community,” will be held at 4:30 p.m. on May 20 at the Freeport Public Library.
The lecture will explore the contributions of various individuals to the city’s history, from its earliest settlers to factory workers, small business employees and community members.
