4 dogs rescued, woman arrested in Roseville animal-cruelty case

(FOX40.COM) — A woman was arrested and several dogs rescued following an animal cruelty investigation in Roseville, police said.

43-year-old Melissa Blalock was arrested on charges of felony animal cruelty and misdemeanor failure to provide animal care, the Roseville Police Department said. The charges stem from an investigation on May 22 at a home on Oak Tree Drive, where Roseville police officers responded to reports of four abandoned dogs that appeared malnourished without access to adequate food or water.
