(FOX40.COM) — Friends and relatives of 9-year-old Avianna Hill gathered Monday evening for a vigil at McClatchy Park in Sacramento. The vigil took place on the same softball field where Avianna loved to play.
“She was a very happy child,” Avianna’s grandmother, Denise Caranza, said. “She just finished the last day of school Thursday, and she’ll never be able to go back to school.”
