SACRAMENTO, Calif — 139 pounds of Ethiopian khat that was being shipped to Sacramento was seized at Washington Dulles International Airport.
According to Customs and Border Protection, the drugs were being shipped as air cargo on June 4, and authorities found it while inspecting a shipment manifested as a variety of spices. Officials said the shipment had 102 boxes, 10 of which had leafy plant material.
