(FOX40.COM) — A man accused of punching a cat to death in Sacramento County returned to court and declined to answer questions as he left the courthouse Thursday morning.
Deputies arrested 30-year-old Adrian Cruz on felony animal cruelty charges one month ago on June 2. The charges stem from what the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office described as an “extensive” investigation into an April 21 incident in which Cruz allegedly punched a cat to death.
A judge released Cruz on his own recognizance two days later on June 4 on condition of attending future hearings. He returned to Sacramento Superior Court on Thursday, where FOX40 reporter Chloe Curtis asked him about the allegations…
