Roseville California Man Charged With Stealing $2.3 Million From Employer to Fuel Gambling Habit

SACRAMENTO, Cal (Gambling911.com) – A Roseville, California man has been charged in a scheme in which he allegedly stole money from his employer and used most of it to gamble, according to prosecutors.

Between 2023 and 2025, 38-year-old Christopher William Edward Abplanalp stole more than $2.3 million from a Placer County business, Wilson Trophy, where he served as an executive.
