SACRAMENTO, CA — Videos circulating online have put three Sacramento teens at the center of a growing wave of anger after footage showed them throwing water on people in public, including unhoused individuals. Viewers quickly pushed back on the clips, saying the behavior was not a joke and should be treated as harmful conduct.
The backlash spread as more people saw the videos and asked who the teens were. A TikTok creator known as TizzyEnt highlighted the footage, which helped bring even more attention to what critics described as a cruel stunt rather than a prank.
What the videos appear to show
According to the clips discussed online, the teens walk up to strangers and then toss water on them before running away. One of the most upsetting moments appears to show an unhoused man beside a van being approached while one teen holds out a container as if offering him water.
The man seems to reach for it, apparently expecting help, before the water is thrown on him instead. Other clips reportedly show people on bicycles, people walking dogs, and people sitting in vehicles being targeted in the same way.
