(FOX40.COM) — A man was found dead after being pulled from the American River in Arden on Sunday afternoon, fire officials said.
Around 1:07 p.m., the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a man “submerged” in the river near Crondall Drive and Estates Drive. Crews found the man and removed him from the water. The man appeared to have been underwater “for a while,” fire officials said.
The man was later pronounced dead at the scene, fire officials said.
