(FOX40.COM) — Construction on northbound Interstate 5 will require a partial 59-hour weekend closure starting this Friday. Major daytime and nighttime delays are to be expected, the California Department of Transportation released in a statement.
The closure, which will take place from Friday, Sept. 18 at 6 p.m. through Monday, Sept. 21, will cause the northbound I-5 loop on-ramp at Pocket Road to close for the duration of the construction. Crews will remove and replace multiple concrete slabs on northbound I-5 lanes at the undercrossing during the closure.
The westbound Pocket Road on-ramp to northbound I-5 will remain open. Local eastbound Pocket Road motorists from the Pocket and Greenhaven neighborhoods are encouraged to use Florin Road as an alternative route to the interstate on-ramp…
