Rio Linda has two barbecue events on the calendar for Saturday, Sept. 26. The Lions Club of Rio Linda will host its second annual Western Ranch House BBQ at Dry Creek Ranch House, while the first Battle of the Brisket will take place at Heavenly Haven. Their hours overlap, so check the locations before heading out.
The Western Ranch House BBQ runs from 5 to 9 p.m. at 6852 Dry Creek Road. The Lions Club’s flyer lists a dinner of barbecue steak, baked beans and salad, along with live music, a bonfire, hayrides and raffle prizes. A no-host bar will be available.
