On Saturday, Oct. 3, the Sacramento Native American Health Center Inc. will host its second annual fundraiser dinner. Titled First Foods Dinner: An Indigenous Culinary Event, it will be held at the Mack Powell Event Center at 2003 Howe Ave. in Arden Arcade.
The event will feature a five-course prix fixe meal with a menu created by James Beard award finalist and the first-ever indigenous contestant on the cooking program Chopped Chef Crystal Wahpepah of Wahpepah’s Kitchen in Oakland.
