Inmate transported from Juvenile Court to Sacramento County Main Jail attempts to flee

(FOX40.COM) — An inmate attempted to flee the Sacramento County Main Jail after being transported from Juvenile Court Thursday morning, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office told FOX40.

The inmate, 19-year-old Roman Naumenko, arrived at the Main Jail around 9:30 a.m. via transport van after being placed on a juvenile hold. Naumenko was being held for felony criminal threats and the possession of a stolen vehicle.

After the transport van parked within the garage of the jail facility, the inmate exited the vehicle with the transport deputy and began walking into the jail. The inmate then observed the west ingress roll-up door of the jail garage opening and attempted to flee through it…
