A woman killed in a shooting outside an Arden-area trampoline park was trying to leave what her father described as an abusive marriage with the man now accused of killing her.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified the woman as 29-year-old Samantha Sue Cromwell. Her father, Cedric Ward, told CBS News Sacramento that Cromwell and 36-year-old Edward Tucker had been married for several years and shared a son.
Ward said the relationship had become abusive and that his daughter had been trying to leave Tucker. He said Cromwell even quit her job at Walmart because she did not want Tucker to know where she was working.
