Former SacRT employee convicted of workers’ compensation fraud for fabricated assault

(FOX40.COM) — A former Sacramento Regional Transit District employee was convicted of workers’ compensation fraud while working for the company, officials announced Wednesday.

According to the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office, Rona Christina Means was convicted on Sept. 14.

Officials said that while working as a SacRT bus operator, Means claimed she was assaulted and “repeatedly punched” by a passenger on July 25, 2018. Means sought workers’ compensation for the incident…
