REACH: Good Samaritans remember the deadly helicopter crash one year later

(FOX40.COM) — Tuesday marks the first anniversary of a devastating helicopter crash that killed one person and left two others seriously injured. One year later, good Samaritans recounted the moments they stopped to comfort the victims.

“I could see her eyes, I felt like she was looking at me,” Christopher Lozano said. “So I wanted to move her face to show her it’s okay.”

Lozano and his grandmother, Isabella Lozano, were two of several people who stopped to assist the three aboard a medical helicopter that had just crash-landed on Highway 50. He told FOX40 he went to help the paramedic on board, 66-year-old Margaret “DeDe” Davis.

While Lozano checked on the paramedic, his grandmother comforted a flight nurse, 67-year-old Susan “Suzie” Smith…
