The cause of a man’s death at Rusch Community Park has not been made public. Citrus Heights police said there was no immediate indication of foul play, but the case remains under investigation. Police and emergency medical personnel were sent to the park around 4 p.m. Thursday after a report of an adult male on a bench on the park’s western side, near the Historic Rusch Home and Gardens.
The man was unresponsive when responders arrived, according to Citrus Heights Sentinel. Sacramento Metro Fire District medics pronounced him dead at the scene. Police estimated he was in his 30s or 40s; his identity has not been released.
