Man arrested on suspicion of murder after stabbing in Citrus Heights

(FOX40.COM) — A man who was arrested on Monday for an alleged fatal stabbing that occurred the previous day, according to Citrus Heights Police.

The agency said its officers responded to the area of Antelope Road and Zenith Drive shortly before 2 a.m. on Sunday regarding a stabbing.

An unresponsive adult man was found lying on the ground outside of a business and was pronounced dead by emergency personnel.

Police said that investigators determined that the victim and suspect were both unhoused and were acquaintances of each other.

Once officers secured an arrest warrant, they arrested the 35-year-old suspect on suspicion of murder with help from Roseville Police in an area where the cities of Citrus Heights and Roseville meet.

Citrus Heights Police said the suspect “has a history of multiple contacts and arrests with Citrus Heights police during 2023.”
