In a concerted effort, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Deputies and Officers from the California Highway Patrol responded to a large-scale “sideshow” near the intersection of South Watt Avenue and Manlove Road yesterday evening.
The unauthorized gathering prompted a comprehensive response, utilizing resources from both Sheriff’s Air Operations and CHP Air units, with additional support from the Sacramento Police Department.
The collaborative response led to a series of citations, arrests, and the towing of numerous vehicles.
The crowd, estimated at approximately 600 people, eventually chose to disperse, avoiding further escalation of the situation.
The involvement of multiple law enforcement agencies underscores the commitment to maintaining public safety and upholding the rule of law in the community.
