Crash in South Sacramento kills man, police say

(FOX40.COM) — A man died on Friday night after a vehicle hit him in South Sacramento, according to Sacramento Police.

Officials said the crash happened around 6:15 p.m. near the intersection of Florin Road and Woodbine Avenue.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a pedestrian with significant injuries. He was taken to the hospital, but died due to the severity of his injuries, police said.

DUI is not believed to be a factor in this crash. Officers are still at the scene on Florin Road between 25th Street and Luther Drive. The area is closed while police complete their investigation.
