FBI seeks former California chiropractor accused of 11 assaults; Suspect may be hiding in Mexico

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has announced a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Steven Eugene Clifford, a fugitive wanted for the alleged sexual assaults of eleven victims between 1998 and 2002.

Clifford, also known by the aliases “Geno” and “Doc,” was born on November 22, 1953, in Sacramento, California. He is a white male with strawberry blond/red hair, blue eyes, standing at 5’10”, and weighing 165 pounds. Clifford, a licensed chiropractor and acupuncturist by occupation, has scars on both lower arms and forearms from severe eczema or psoriasis.

The FBI cautions the public that Clifford may use hair dye to change the color of his hair. He is believed to be taking prescription Lithium and is considered armed and dangerous.

According to the FBI, Clifford operated a chiropractic office in Carnelian Bay, California, for several years. In January 2002, he was arrested by the Placer County Sheriff’s Department for sexually assaulting multiple patients, including a juvenile. Although he pleaded “no contest” to three counts, Clifford failed to appear for his scheduled sentencing on January 28, 2003.
