(FOX40.COM) — A person died in Sacramento on Wednesday night after a vehicle struck them along Marconi Avenue, according to Metro Fire of Sacramento.
According to officers at the scene, a person was crossing the street when the driver of a white Tesla, who was not paying attention, hit them.
The crash happened around 9 p.m. on the 4300 block of the roadway, officials added.
The agency said that the victim was immediately declared dead at the scene.
No alcohol or drugs are believed to play a role in the crash, officials added.
