A suspect was arrested in Placer County after two high-speed chases spanning several hours over two counties on Thursday. According to the Sacramento Sheriff’s Department, members of its Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement (S.A.F.E.) Team tried to arrest the suspect for felony warrants including not registering as a sexual offender. The suspect then fled in the Elk Grove area during a high-speed pursuit in the Grant Line and Sheldon area that included carjacking a vehicle. Law enforcement on the ground and in the air could not locate the suspect at the time.
