88 cars seized, 150 people detained in most significant California sideshow bust in years

In a proactive mission conducted on February 3, 2024, the San Joaquin County Sideshow Taskforce successfully disrupted a planned sideshow event in Stockton and Sacramento, California.

The task force, acting on intelligence indicating an imminent sideshow, infiltrated the group and gathered crucial information about the intended location of the event at Country Club Blvd and Pershing Ave in Stockton.

As the task force descended upon the location, they observed several hundred people and numerous vehicles obstructing the roadway.

A red truck was identified as driving recklessly in the intersection, prompting swift and decisive action by the task force to contain and stabilize the scene.

Over 150 individuals were detained, identified, processed, and released, pending the filing of criminal charges with the District Attorney’s office.

In a significant blow to the sideshow participants, all vehicles present, as well as those used to block the intersection, were seized. Subsequent searches of the seized vehicles uncovered controlled substances and loaded illegal firearms.
