Sacramento respite centers remain open amidst cold and wet weather

(FOX40.COM) — Sacramento County and the City of Sacramento’s respite centers will remain open through Monday as cold and wet weather continues to work through the region, according to Sacramento County.

The county respite center at Warren E. Thornton (WET) Center gym, located at 9601 Kiefer Blvd, will remain open through 8 a.m. on Feb. 12.

What donations items are needed at Sacramento respite centers

The Outreach and Engagement Center, located at 3615 Auburn Blvd., will also remain open through Monday morning.

Those in need of transportation to the respite centers can get a free ride through SacRT with the use of the accompanying flyer .

Donations are also still being accepted and First Step Communities is in need of sweatpants/shirts in any size. Blankets are also needed.

These items, along with any other donation items, can be dropped of at 4000 Branch Center Rd. from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
