(FOX40.COM) — Loud street racing and a “swarm of vehicles” prompted Elk Grove police to respond last Thursday, which led to around 10 vehicles being towed and four arrests made for reckless driving.
The Elk Grove Police Department said that its units consider traffic to be a “top concern” in the city. So when several calls were made regarding street racing on Elk Grove Boulevard and Bruceville Road, EGPD traffic units responded immediately.

“Our Traffic Unit, additional officers, unmarked units, Real Time Information Center, and our UAS team joined together to curb the issue,” the agency said on Facebook.
What resulted in the joint effort were 74 vehicle stops, 55 citations, 10 vehicle tows, and four arrests for reckless driving, EGPD said.
