). Like any lost love, there are days where I find myself pining for their return — which brings us to my question of the day: W

hat local businesses would you like to see make a comeback?

To get you started, here are my top three choices (in no particular order):

Dimple Records

This is probably at the top of a lot of people’s lists — and with a 45-year history in the City of Trees, who could blame them? A not-insignificant portion of both my music and movie collections come from Dimple. Call me old fashioned, but I’d rather discover new music there than through an algorithm.

The Distillery

This was a karaoke bar

for the people

. Rarely have I been in a place where the demographic of patrons is so varied in every metric possible, yet so welcoming. Will the next person to take the stage sing “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Buy U a Drank,” or “Before He Cheats?”
