A medical helicopter rescue crew asked for permission to take a man burned in a trailer fire in French Gulch to UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento rather than Redding area hospitals.
The helicopter medical crew reported to emergency medics that the man had suffered serious injuries in the fire and needed further treatment for his burns.

Fire officials have requested a medical helicopter for a trailer fire that left at least one person injured in French Gulch on Tuesday morning.
The fire, which broke out shortly before 10 a.m., was reported in the 1400 block of Tailings Drive, near Cline Gulch Road in French Gulch, according to emergency scanner traffic.
Crews at the scene of the fire reported one person suffered burns in the fire, while another crew reported they were delayed by road construction in the area. The fire was reported knocked down shortly before 11 a.m.
Crews at the scene requested additional fire engines and crews at 10:18 a.m.
