Wind advisory issued for Sacramento area, here’s how strong gusts could get

(FOX40.COM) — The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory that warns of strong winds headed to the Sacramento Valley.

The wind advisory goes into effect at 7 a.m. on Wednesday and is expected to last until 10 p.m. Gust are forecast to reach up to 40 mph. The National Weather Service (NWS) warned that unsecured objects could be blown around and tree limbs may fall. Power outages are also a possibility in the Sacramento and Central valleys.

Three storms are forecasted for Sacramento

“Use extra caution when driving,” NWS warned. “Especially if operating a high profile vehicle.”

The strongest winds are forecast to be felt in the afternoon.
