(FOX40.COM) — One person is dead following a single-vehicle crash that closed a large portion of a road on Friday morning.
Around 4:21 a.m., the West Sacramento Police Department posted on Facebook that officers responded to a traffic collision on Southport Parkway between Lake Washington Boulevard and Ramco Street.
At 7:45 a.m., police said both directions of the road are closed and commuters should avoid the area and use alternate routes.
Details of the crash are not known at this time, as officers continue investigating the crash.
